Why is Gold conducting the voluntary recall?

Gold’s operations are guided by a strong commitment to producing quality products. After recently receiving feedback from a small number of parents, about broken strap buckles on these carriers we elected to take this action to prevent a potential fall hazard.

Which models and products are affected by the recall?

  • This recall covers Eddie Bauer fabric infant carrier Model EB00201
  • This recall only impacts this model Infant Carrier manufactured between 08/03/2017 and 12/20/2017, sold in the United States between December 2017 and August 2018.
  • Date codes are located on the tag of the product along and the model number is on the package.

Do I need to return the whole product to the store if it is affected by the voluntary recall?

No, you can return cut off straps and tag with your name, address, and phone number to receive selected replacement products, free of charge. Instructions will also be posted on our website www.goldbuginc.com. If you prefer you can also return to the store where purchased with a receipt for a refund.

How long will it take to get my selected replacement product?

You should receive it in approximately 2 to 4 weeks.

Do I need to return the parts of the product?

Yes. We want to make sure Action is taken to discontinue use of the carrier.

I no longer want to use this or any other Gold product; can I receive a full refund?

We would be happy to provide you with replacement product to help ease any additional concerns you might have.

How many products are affected by this issue?

Approximately 10,000 products were sold to Consumers. The product is no longer available at retail.

Am I still eligible for replacement products if I no longer have the receipt for the product?

Yes.
